Job summary

Boston Dynamics is seeking a Finance and Accounting Manager to lead a team responsible for accounting operations, financial reporting, and internal controls. You will drive accuracy and timeliness in close cycles and collaborate with cross‑functional partners to support strategic decisions.

The role requires strong US GAAP knowledge, experience with ERP systems, and a track record of process improvements. You will coach staff and interact with auditors and regulators as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA or equivalent certification strongly preferred.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership.
• Experience in managing accounting operations and improving processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day operations of the accounting function, including general ledger, journal entries, reconciliations, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
• Supervise the preparation of financial statements, reports, and analyses for management and regulatory purposes.
• Ensure accounting records are maintained accurately and in compliance with US GAAP and internal policies.
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities and ensure timely reporting.
• Oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, systems, and tools, and lead related initiatives.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external auditors and regulatory agencies.
• Provide coaching, mentoring, and performance management for accounting staff.
• Collaborate with finance and business partners to support operational and strategic objectives.
• Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes as needed.
