Job summary

SR1 is hiring a Finance & Accounting Manager to build and run the financial engine of a nonprofit and possible for-profit organization from our ThinkCenter in Ridgeland, MS. You will braid grant dollars, education funding, and earned revenue into a single budget that passes audits, while measuring cost per student and building reserves.

On-site at SR1 ThinkCenter, Ridgeland, MS, you will own the numbers and systems to drive sustainability.

Role title: Finance & Accounting Manager

Compensation: $55,000 – $85,000

Some people see a tangled set of books, three funding sources with three different rulebooks, and a question nobody can answer yet — and they get quietly excited.

That is who we are hiring.

SR1 is looking for a Finance & Accounting Manager to build and run the financial engine of a nonprofit and and possible for-profit organization from our ThinkCenter in Ridgeland, MS.

The problems here are real ones:

• How do you braid restricted grant dollars, education funding, and earned revenue into one budget that still passes an audit?
• What does a program actually cost per student — and what would it take to make it sustainable?
• How do you build an operating reserve from scratch inside an organization growing faster than its systems?
• How do you structure the money so a community economic development project actually reaches the community?

We need real depth in at least one of three areas — nonprofit finance, school and education finance, or community economic development — and genuine curiosity about the other two.

No CPA required. If you have one, great. If you do mot, we care far more about what you have actually built, untangled, and willing to solve.
