Job summary

SpartanNash is seeking a Finance & Accounting Intern for the summer of 2027 at Byron Center, Michigan. This paid, 12-week internship offers hands-on experience across accounting functions and exposure to Oracle Fusion, Excel, and SmartView.

You will support multiple areas, collaborate with partners across departments, and deliver a final internship presentation showcasing learning objectives.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Accounting or Finance.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft 365 and Excel.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and in teams.

Responsibilities

• Support General Accounting, Gross Profits, Retail Accounting, Financial Planning, Financial Services, Tax.
• Assist in daily operations and administrative tasks within the department.
• Prepare presentations, reports and documentation.
• Collaborate with team members to improve processes and efficiency.
• Attend meetings, take notes, and contribute insights.
• Assist in maintaining department tools, templates and methodologies.
