Job summary

WM is offering a 12-week internship within its Finance and Accounting groups at our Houston headquarters. Interns will rotate across Accounting, Corporate Finance, Internal Audit, Investor Relations, Treasury & Risk Management, and others, with a mentor and cross-functional exposure.

Interns will work with teams to analyze profitability and other topics, collaborate with leaders, and gain visibility into WM’s core businesses and sustainability efforts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required and pursuing or recently completed Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to synthesize findings.
• Effective written and verbal communication and ability to work in teams.

Responsibilities

• Uses problem solving skills to identify and define problems.
• Conducts analysis and delivers insights and recommendations.
• Synthesizes findings and communicates conclusions to supervisor or manager.
• Executes tasks related to projects and process improvements.
• Communicates issues and roadblocks encountered during work.
