Job summary

SYM Financial Advisors offers a 13-week rotational internship designed to give students an inside look at the wealth management profession. Interns will rotate through departments such as Qualified Retirement Plan Services, Financial Planning, Financial Advising, Client Service, HR, Marketing, IT, Accounting, Compliance, Investments, and Trading, working on-site 40 hours per week.

No prior industry experience is required; candidates should be sophomores or juniors with a 3.0+ GPA and strong

Qualifications

• Undergraduate student (sophomore or junior) with 3.0+ GPA in finance, accounting, business, economics, financial planning, or related field.
• Analytical thinker who can analyze data and solve problems.
• Strong verbal and written communication, comfortable in team and client-facing settings.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to learn quickly.
• Team-oriented with a collaborative mindset across departments.
• Adaptable, open to new challenges and structured work.

Responsibilities

• Work 40 hours per week on-site across multiple departments.
• Shadow advisors and attend select client meetings.
• Assist with meeting notes and client record-keeping.
• Engage in mock investment portfolio competition.
• Complete a capstone project simulating financial advising.
• Participate in a StrengthsFinder workshop and team exercises.
