Job summary

The Finance & Accounting Intern Development Program at LyondellBasell offers hands-on experience across Accounting, FP&A, Treasury, Internal Audit, Tax, ESG Reporting, and Business Finance. Interns rotate through two key functions and deliver project-based analyses to leaders, building a broad foundation for a full-time career.

Houston-based program provides mentorship, exposure to GAAP, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, with opportunities to present findings to senior leaders.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related business field.
• Overall GPA of 3.0 or greater.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Create reports, reconciliations, and flux analyses.
• Perform month‑end closing tasks, journal entries, and cost allocations.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analyses.
• Prepare audit work papers and assist with process improvements.
