PIMCO is seeking a Finance & Accounting Associate in New York to manage corporate accounting for their Prime Real Estate LLC. The role involves financial reporting, budgeting processes, and overseeing external accounting providers. Ideal candidates will possess a bachelor’s degree and two years of relevant experience, along with excellent analytical abilities and attention to detail.

LOCATION New York, NY RESPONSIBILITIES Focus on Corporate accounting & controlling for PIMCO Prime Real Estate LLC (PPRE), i.e.: Preparation, analysis and presentation of all recurring and ad hoc corporate reporting for various stakeholders incl. senior leadership. Coordination and monitoring of external accounting provider, intercompany transactions, accounting of payroll, benefits, deferred compensation, leaves travel, accruals, facilitate payment of vendor invoices and ensure process as well as control documentation. Preparation of an annual (3 year) corporate budgeting process. Monitoring and controlling of corporate expenses include management of actual plan variances. Support projects to adjust reporting and processes to new requirements as well as working on the development of effective accounting & controlling tools and procedures. Monitor and actively manage corporate account cash balances, track liquidity and generate income through short term investing. Support PPRE's Investment and Controlling (IPC) function (e.g. annual Investment Planning) and over time increase your footprint in investment-related topics on both the equity or CRE loan side (e.g. data upload, validation, and analysis). PROFESSIONAL SKILLS REQUIREMENTS Good knowledge in accounting standards (IFRS, US GAAP), accounting concepts and interfaces between financial statements. Highly organized and detail oriented. Global team player with outstanding analytical and conceptual skills Ability to effectively prioritize tasks, follow up, produce consistently accurate work, and meet strict deadlines. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor or Master Degree in Finance or Accounting Minimum two years’ experience within Controlling/Accounting position, preferably with a Big4 or Big10 company or in financial services Additional certifications, e.g. CPA, CFA are appreciated Excellent knowledge of MS Office products, in particular Excel, Copilot etc. High affinity in handling data and dealing with heterogenous data sources. Strong communication skills and persuasive power, ideally first experiences to work in an international environment PIMCO follows a total compensation approach when rewarding employees which includes a base salary and a discretionary bonus. Base salary is the fixed component of compensation that is determined by core job responsibilities, relevant experience, internal level, and market factors. The discretionary bonus is used to award performance and therefore is determined by company, business, team, and individual performance.
