Job summary

OSU Cascades is seeking a Learning Assistant in finance fundamentals for ecampus. The role requires being academically enrolled and providing online support to students on basic finance topics for 3–5 hours weekly, with some coaching and class participation to stay aligned with material.

Pay is $16.55 per hour. The position begins Week 0 of Winter term, with duties including monitoring course content online and assisting students on exam days as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be academically enrolled in a high school, community college, or university and pursuing a program or course of study
• Must meet Academic Standing Requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible for employment
• Must meet the applicable minimal enrollment standard: High School student; Undergraduate 6 credit hours per term; Undergraduate international 12 credit hours per term; Graduate 5 credit hours per term; Graduate international 9 credit hours per term
• Some background in business finance coursework like BA 240 or similar
• Canvas
• Availability to attend online class meetings on 2 exam days

Responsibilities

• No lectures to attend, mostly online availability to students who may have questions on basic finance or software (Canvas or Mc-Graw Hill Connect) 3-5 hours per week
• Some student coaching
• Follow class online to understand material and update me if students have questions beyond their skill level
