Job summary

Greenwood Mills, Inc. is seeking workers for final cloth inspection. You will visually inspect fabric for quality, separate batches, and record yardage and defects. Tasks include pushing heavy rolls, sewing, and operating the grading frame with safety gear. Training provided; prior textile experience is a plus but not required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read basic written instructions and perform basic math calculations.
• Must be able to use and read measuring tape.
• Must be able to distinguish colors and meet safety rules for the job.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspects cloth on grading machine.
• Separates into A1 & A2 or seconds and records on tickets.
• Doff roll from batcher and remove off-quality pieces.
• Count yards on batch rolls and record.
• Record defects and remove them when needed.
• Must be able to push rolls weighing up to 1200 pounds and sew pieces on a dolly.
