Job summary

The Caldwell Group Inc in Rockford, IL is seeking a QC Inspector - Machine Shop to inspect and document part dimensions, set up and run CNC and manual machines, and uphold quality and safety standards. The role requires reading blueprints, following NCR processes, and maintaining calibration of inspection tools.

Minimum education is a high school diploma with two years' experience inspecting parts to print and five years on CNC equipment.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent is required; two years minimum inspecting parts to print.
Experience managing a calibration process is a plus and CNC experience is essential.
Five years of experience on CNC equipment is preferred; forklift and overhead crane experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Inspect and document part dimensions using micrometers, gauges, calipers, templates or rulers.
Inspect parts from machined, flame cut, bent or laser cut sources and initiate NCR when nonconforming.
Set up and run CNC and manual machines; verify first piece and sample workpieces while meeting specs.
Maintain inspection equipment and calibration schedules; keep records and safety standards.
Operate forklift and overhead crane to move material as needed; report any tool defects.
Adhere to all safety rules and Caldwell values and participate in quality processes.
