Job summary

Southern Freight Lines is seeking a Final Mile Driver to pick up, transport, and deliver freight locally in a non CDL-A vehicle. You will ensure safe and timely transportation of freight from origin to destination, with pay of $31.35–$34.50 per hour for the First Shift.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Must pass background check and alcohol/drug test
• Valid Driver's License with acceptable MVR
• At least 6 months of driving experience including personal vehicle
• Willing to enter Southern’s Driver Trainee Program after one year in Final Mile Driver role

Job description

As a Final Mile Driver, you will pick up, transport, and deliver freight locally, not to include hazardous materials, in a non CDL-A vehicle. Responsible for the safe and timely transportation of freight from origin to destination.

For this role, you must:

• be at least 21 years old
• have a High School Diploma or GED
• have the ability to satisfactorily pass background check and alcohol and drug test
• have a valid Driver's License with an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)
• have at least 6 months of driving experience, to include a personal motor vehicle
• and be willing to enter Southern’s Driver Trainee Program after successfully completing one year in the Final Mile Driver role.
