Job summary

NOV is seeking a quality inspector in Texas to perform final inspections on welded and machined product ends, interpret results for production teams, and maintain daily inspection logs. You will apply serialization, read drawings, and use precision tools to determine acceptance criteria.

The role requires standing for 8 hours, occasional heavy lifting, and adherence to safety and quality procedures. High school diploma and basic math/reading proficiency are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Must achieve at least 80% on a basic math and reading comprehension exam.
• Basic computer skills required for data entry and reporting.
• Must pass an Industrial Eye Exam with near visual acuity.

Responsibilities

• Interpret inspection results and report findings to production staff.
• Record daily totals of inspected welded or machined ends and document non-conformances by category.
• Apply serialization to material using a hammer and steel stamps.
• Read and interpret technical product drawings for acceptance criteria.
• Utilize measuring equipment to determine product acceptance.
• Stand and work in indoor and outdoor environments for at least 8 hours.
• Perform extensive walking, bending, stooping, and heavy lifting.
• Comply with NOV, company, and HSE policies and procedures.
