Job summary

NOV is seeking a Quality Inspector to ensure weld quality and dimensional accuracy using approved NDT methods. Inspect welded areas, interpret results, document non-conformances, and communicate findings to production teams to support corrective actions and continuous improvement.

Read and interpret technical drawings to determine acceptance criteria. The role requires standing, walking, bending and lifting up to 12 hours, indoors and outdoors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must pass the company general inspection evaluation with a minimum score of 80%.
• Basic computer literacy.
• Ability to pass an industrial vision screening with near-visual acuity.
• Strong work ethic with a commitment to safety, quality, and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Inspect welded areas for soundness using various NDT techniques.

• Maintain accurate daily inspection records, including quantities and defect details.
• Read and interpret technical product drawings to determine acceptance criteria.
• Use precision measuring tools such as dial calipers, micrometers, and pit gauges to verify specifications.
• Work in both indoor and outdoor environments; role requires standing, walking, bending, and lifting for up 12 hrs.
