Qualifications

• Experience with mechanical and hydraulic presses in a manufacturing setting.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and tolerances.
• Familiarity with press controls, tonnage, stroke, and related parameters.
• Experience performing first‑piece and in‑process inspections.
• Knowledge of machine guarding and safety procedures (LOTO).
• Proficient use of precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers).
• Capable of basic preventive maintenance and lubrication.
• Strong troubleshooting across press, die, material, and sensor issues.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor mechanical and hydraulic presses per drawings and work instructions.
• Install, align, and changeover dies; verify proper die setup.
• Load, thread, and adjust coil stock and feeders to maintain material flow.
• Adjust press parameters (stroke, tonnage, speed, air pressure) to meet specs.
• Perform first‑piece and in‑process inspections and document results.
• Identify and escalate equipment or process issues to minimize downtime.
• Conduct routine maintenance, cleaning, lubrication, and housekeeping.
• Ensure safety procedures and PPE usage; adhere to LOTO requirements.
• Maintain production area organized and compliant with 5S standards.
