Job summary

LANXESS in Ford's, NJ seeks a Filtration Operator. You will perform filtration duties per SOPs, follow safety rules and receive instructions from the Outside Chief Operator or Supervisor.

Start up filtration, prepare filter presses, supervise lines, collect samples for QC, and log all materials and times with a focus on cleanliness and safety. The role requires a high school diploma, at least 2 years in manufacturing, and a willingness to work a rotating shift.

Qualifications

• Education - minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimim of 2 years of experience in manufacturing environment, demonstrated experience safely handling chemicals preferrred.
• Must be willing to work a rotating shift schedule (Days/Evenings/Nights).
• Strong Communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Performs duties according to Standard Operating Procedures and safety rules.
• Receive instructions from Outside Chief “A” Operator or Supervisor and start up filtration as directed.
• Prepare filter presses for filtration and monitor lines for leaks.
• Take press samples and deliver to QC lab; notify supervision of problems.
• Seal and flush lines, maintain logs, monitor flow rate and differential pressure.
• Fill log sheets with material, amount, and time data; ensure housekeeping.
• Report unsafe conditions and assist with related duties as directed.
