Qualifications

• Read and interpret engineering/assembly drawings
• Read and interpret safety rules and maintenance instructions
• Write routine documents such as checklists and time sheets
• Use basic arithmetic for measurements and tolerances
• Follow written, oral, or diagrammed instructions
• Operate forklift per certification

Responsibilities

• Fit, align, and assemble parts, motors, pumps, and sub-assemblies into units and connect electrical/piping
• Position parts according to layout or drawings
• Fasten parts with bolts, screws, and fasteners
• Drill and tap holes for fasteners
• Inspect parts and assemblies for fit and defects
• Remove material to achieve close fits
• Test components and units for proper operation
• Move items to Paint Department using forklift
• Record daily production information
• Follow safety and keep work area orderly
