Job summary

Weber State University is seeking a Filming and Video Technician to film practice and games for various intercollegiate sports. This hourly position requires effective communication skills and familiarity with video equipment.

The ideal candidate will work approximately 12 hours a week and will be expected to follow established policies actively. A strong commitment to professionalism and ethics is preferred, particularly for those currently enrolled at WSU.

Job description

This is a pooled position. Applicants are selected from the pool as positions become available. After a period of time the pool will expire and applicants will be notified.

Job Summary

The Filming and Video Technician will be responsible for filming practice and games of various intercollegiate sports.

Physical Activity

Standing for sustained periods, operating, activating, using, preparing, inspecting, placing, detecting, or positioning equipment; grasping and applying pressure with fingers and palm; feeling to perceive attributes of objects with fingertips; expressing or exchanging ideas to convey detailed instructions accurately or quickly.

Physical Requirements

Sedentary work with occasional exertion up to 10 pounds of force; light work occasional up to 20 pounds; requires use of arms and/or leg controls with exertion greater than sedentary work.

Visual Acuity Requirements

Requires adequate visual acuity, including color, depth perception, and field of vision to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing, using a computer terminal, and extensive reading.

Conditions of Work

Work involves both interior and exterior environmental conditions.
