Job Description

Irvine Valley College seeks applicants to teach a video production class covering conceptual and technical skills, including videography through hands-on projects.

This temporary, part-time position involves teaching students in a diverse environment, supporting educational goals across transfer, general education, career, and technical programs. Applicants should reside within commuting distance to Orange County.

Performance Responsibilities

• Teach courses according to curriculum and course outlines.
• Provide course materials, support learning objectives, develop and measure learning outcomes, and assess student performance.
• Report on student learning outcomes and utilize assessment results to improve teaching.
• Maintain professional conduct, current knowledge, and adhere to college policies.
• Complete all required reports and documentation timely.
• Utilize current technology and learning materials to support engagement.
• Establish regular contact with students, including online courses.
• Teach during scheduled times and maintain accurate records.
• Participate in curriculum review and program development as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

• One of the following: a bachelor’s degree with two years of professional experience, an associate degree with six years of experience, or equivalent education and experience.
• Professional experience must be directly related to Broadcast Technology, Film making/video, media production, radio/TV.
• Demonstrated commitment to equity and diversity, with ability to relate to diverse student backgrounds.
