Job summary

Five Star Management LLC. in Houston, TX seeks a Film Recycling Operator to run the recycling line safely, load and inspect scrap film, and maintain quality standards. You will monitor grinders, shredders, conveyors, and related equipment, perform start-ups and shutdowns, and ensure traceability of materials.

Requires knowledge of recycling processes, 2+ years in manufacturing or plastics, and ability to lift 50+ pounds. Expect a loud environment and routine PPE usage on the production floor.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in manufacturing, plastics, extrusion or recycling.
• Knowledge of recycling processes and operation of recycling machinery.
• Proactive, team-oriented and able to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Operate the assigned film recycling line safely and efficiently to meet production and quality requirements.
• Load, sort, inspect, and feed scrap film into recycling equipment according to procedures.
• Monitor grinders, shredders, compactors, extruders, pelletizers, conveyors, and related equipment; adjust and report abnormalities.
• Identify film types, resins, additives, contamination, and recycled materials and their quality standards.
• Perform product and order changes, start-ups, shutdowns, cleaning, and basic troubleshooting.
• Inspect recycled material and record process information for traceability and quality.
• Keep the work area clean and free of loose film, pellets, and materials (5S).
• Work on the manufacturing floor with PPE and visit multiple facilities as needed.
