Job summary

Garelick Farms, Dairy Farmers of America is seeking a Machine Operator - Filler for 2nd shift in Massachusetts. The role offers $20.00 per hour plus a $1.50 shift differential for 2nd and 3rd shifts, plus an external sign-on bonus of $1,500.

The position requires operating filler equipment, performing quality checks, and maintaining proper packaging and documentation. Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent, plus warehouse or production experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Warehouse, production, or general work experience preferred.
• Certification and/or License – may be required during course of employment.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor filler equipment on production line.
• Complete required documentation and quality checks.
• Monitor weights, seals, caps, and packaging of product.
• Adjust filler timing and filling; check mat as needed.
• Troubleshoot basic to moderate operating difficulties.
• Collect samples for quality testing.
• Ensure correct packaging materials for each product.
• Prevent downtime by clearing jams and threading wrap.
• Perform line changeovers safely and efficiently.
• Complete cleaning checklist and prep for next run.
• Maintain cross-department communication and report problems.
• Document information per SOPs.
• Support continuous improvement efforts.
• Report food safety and quality issues to management.
• Maintain safe working conditions per regulations.
