Job summary

Gemini Industries in Grand Prairie, TX is seeking a Fill-Off Operator to support the filling line and collaborate with the facility team. You will operate fill-by-weight machines, monitor weights and container quality, and ensure lids are sealed and labels applied accurately.

The role emphasizes teamwork, attention to detail, and strict adherence to safety SOPs, with day shift responsibilities and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years old.
• High School Degree or equivalent.
• Basic math skills (addition/subtraction).
• Ability to work in a team environment and cross-functionally.
• Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and cleanliness.
• Good interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work safely and follow SOPs.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.
• Ability to operate fill-by-weight machines, labelers, palletizers, etc.
• Ability to operate forklift.

Responsibilities

• Monitor incoming quality of containers; ensure adequate supply for uninterrupted filling operations.
• Calibrate and operate filling machines; verify product and weights per batch ticket.
• Ensure lids are properly sealed on containers.
• Supply empty pallets and offload full pallets as needed.
• Ensure correct labels and adhesive; monitor label/ container appearance.
• Follow safety, environmental and regulatory guidelines; keep work area clean.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

JOB DESCRIPTION

This position is an essential part of Gemini’s manufacturing team. This position will work directly with the facility team and all departments to utilize equipment and ensure the filling line is running correctly.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Monitor incoming quality of containers; monitor container supply area by each line to ensure adequate quantity for uninterrupted filling line operations.
• Calibrate and properly operate filling machines; check batch ticket for correct product; monitor correct weights and quality appearance of containers (no drips).
• Ensure lids are properly sealed on containers.
• Supply empty pallets to machine; offload full pallets as appropriate.
• Ensure adequate quantity of correct labels and adhesive; monitor quality appearance of label and container.
• Follows all safety guidelines and rules; environmental and regulatory guidelines; uses all required safety equipment. Maintains quality and cleanliness of work area and equipment.
• Other duties as assigned.
