Job summary

Legends Global at McFetridge Sports Center in Chicago is seeking a Figure Skating Instructor to teach skaters in our ISI Learn to Skate program and assist with events such as the spring ice show and rink competition. Hours are typically 4-6 per week and may vary with special events.

The role requires ISI Freestyle 5 or USFS equivalence, at least one year of Learn to Skate teaching, and ISI memberships/certifications. Saturdays (and possibly weekday evenings) are required.

Qualifications

• ISI Freestyle 5 level or USFS equivalent.
• Minimum one year Learn to Skate teaching experience.
• Must purchase ISI Professional Membership and obtain Judging Certifications.
• Available Saturdays and possibly weekday evenings.

Responsibilities

• Teach skaters in ISI Learn to Skate program and assist with events.
• Evaluate skaters to determine skill level or advancement.
• Communicate with skaters and parents regularly.
• Assist with program duties as assigned by the Figure Skating Coordinator.
