Job summary

Performance Trust Capital Partners, headquartered in Chicago, seeks an Analyst to join our Financial Institutions Group (FIG) / Balance Sheet Strategy (BSS) sales team. You will apply quantitative methods to assess risk/reward in fixed income portfolios and balance sheet strategies for community banks, credit unions, insurance companies and other institutions.

This onsite role is based in our Chicago office with full time in-office work.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, finance, economics, engineering, computer science or statistics.
Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; Bloomberg familiarity.
Structured thinking, problem solving and multi-tasking.
Strong work ethic and ability to work under pressure.
Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Acquire working knowledge of fixed income products and balance sheet strategy.
Understand the collaboration between sales, trading and analytics to address client needs.
Research and present data to improve client outcomes, trading efficiency, sales effectiveness, and business intelligence.
Forecast institutions’ balance sheet and income statement under various scenarios using proprietary models.
Frame findings into coherent presentations with actionable steps for clients.
Evaluate potential new product opportunities and resource deployment for initiatives.
Develop selling, trading, and analytical skills tailored to individual strengths.
