St. James Catholic School in North Miami, Florida has an opening for a qualified full-time Elementary School Grade 5 Teacher for the current 2025-26 school year. This teacher will be expected to plan, organize, and implement an appropriate instructional program for 5th Grade students. The candidate performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami. Salary will vary based on certification and years of experience.

Qualifications:

• BS / BA Degree in Elementary Education.
• FDOE Teaching Certificate in Elementary Education, temporary or professional required.
• Minimum of one (1) year teaching experience.
• Strong presentation skills with use of instructional technologies.
• Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel; PowerPoint a plus.
• Effective oral and written English communication skills, including clear speaking voice.
• Good spelling and grammar required.
• Fully committed, supportive, and respectful of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church; experience in Roman Catholic environment preferred.
• Knowledge of basic tenets of Catholic Church.
