Qualifications

  • Strong working knowledge of CTC Standards for Clinical Practice.
  • Knowledge of local school district structures and programs as relevant to placing and supporting student teachers.
  • Identify and onboard Cooperating Teachers for Multiple Subject, PK-3, and Bilingual

  • Match teacher candidates with cooperating teachers and maintain accurate placement records
  • Provide training for cooperating teachers in accordance with CTC standards
  • Coordinate process for onboarding and supporting intern teachers enrolled in credential program

Position Description

The Department of Elementary Education at San Francisco State University seeks applicants for its Lecturer Faculty Position as Fieldwork Coordinator for Spring 2026

The Department of Elementary Education prepares skilled, transformative educators to teach and become leaders in culturally and linguistically diverse schools. We guide and support educators to develop a pedagogy of caring and cultural responsiveness and to teach for social justice and equity for children and their families. The department’s Multiple Subject Credential, including the PK-3 Early Childhood Specialist Instruction and the Bilingual Authorization Programs, certify candidates with their Preliminary Credential to teach in California schools, and the curriculum in the credential program reflects current Teaching
Performance Expectations (TPEs), State Standards, and Common Core Standards.

feedback.

Salary

Commensurate with qualifications and experience. The CSU provides generous health,
retirement and other benefits.
Anticipated salary is based on a monthly full-time salary range of $5507-$6677 per
month, adjusted to position time base.
