Job summary

The Baltimore Ravens are hiring a Summer Grounds Intern to assist with the day-to-day maintenance of the fields and grounds at the Under Armour Performance Center and M&T Bank Stadium.

The role requires turf grass management experience, the ability to lift 50 lbs, and a willingness to work 40+ hours per week, including nights, weekends, and holidays during the Summer Training Camp.

Qualifications

• Prior education and/or experience related to turf grass management is required.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs., stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions.
• Must work 40+ hours per week including nights, weekends, and holidays during the duration of the role.
• Self-motivated, hardworking with a passion for football.
• Ability to operate heavy machinery including mowers, tractors, forklifts, and skid steers.
• Strong attention to detail and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Assist in mowing, irrigation use and repair, fertilizing, painting, tarping, artificial turf maintenance, and shop/equipment maintenance.
• Assist in aerification, topdressing, overseeding, sodding, and field covers at the Under Armour Performance Center/M&T Bank Stadium.
• Support the maintenance of the fields and landscape at the Under Armour Performance Center.
• Provide day-to-day support of NFL football practice operations.
• Other duties as assigned.

Position Reports To: Director, Fields & Grounds UAPC

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

The Baltimore Ravens are hiring a highly motivated summer groundskeeper to assist with the day-to-daymaintenance of the fields and grounds at the Under Armour Performance Center. This role will also support the Fields and Grounds crew, when needed, at the Ravens home field at M&T Bank Stadium.

DURATION:

40+ hours a week during the Baltimore Ravens Summer Training Camp

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in the mowing, irrigation use and repair, fertilizing, painting, tarping, artificial turf maintenance, and shop/equipment maintenance at the Under Armour Performance Center/M&T Bank Stadium.
• Assist in the implementation of aerification, topdressing, overseeding, sodding, and the use of field covers at the Under Armour Performance Center/M&T Bank Stadium.
• Support the maintenance of the fields and landscape at the Under Armour Performance Center.

EDUCATION AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

• Prior education and/or experience related to turf grass management is required.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs., work on feet for an extended period of time, and work in any kind of climate including extreme weather conditions.
• Must be willing to work 40+ hours per week including nights, weekends, and holidays during the duration of the role.
• Self-motivated, hardworking individual who has a passion for the profession as well as football.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to go above and beyond the tasks assigned.
• Ability to operate heavy machinery including mowers, tractors, forklifts, and skid steers.
• Must have the ability to interact well with others including other employees of the organization, media, and outside vendors.

PAY:

$15.50 per hour
