Job summary

Workcare Inc. seeks an independent contractor to perform on-site fitness screenings and wellness assessments in Crescent City, CA with up to 50% travel across California. The role follows ACSM guidelines and includes data entry for reports and coaching.

You will guide mobility, exercise, nutrition, stress management, and health education, and provide virtual follow-up coaching for chronic condition management and wellness goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology or related field required.
• FMS Level 1 or higher certification preferred or able to obtain upon hire.
• 3 years of wellness testing and coaching experience, preferably with first responders.
• CPR/AED certification required.
• Strong health and fitness knowledge and computer skills required.
• Self-starter able to work independently.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site fitness screenings (FMS, blood pressure, body fat, etc.) according to ACSM guidelines.
• Provide mobility, exercise, injury prevention, nutrition, stress management and health education guidance.
• Provide virtual follow-up coaching on blood pressure, cholesterol, diabetes management and general health education.
• Data entry to create FMS screening reports and corrective exercise programs.
