Job summary

TP Mechanical Contractors is actively seeking a skilled Tig welder and pipefitter to perform daily site work at various locations. The role involves Tig welding, reading blueprints, and effective communication with on-site teams and sub-contractors to uphold TP Mechanical Contractors' professional standards.

Responsibilities include Tig welding in the Fab Shop, assisting with project layouts, adhering to OSHA and company safety guidelines, and maintaining equipment.

Qualifications

• Tig welding experience required.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret layouts.
• Familiarity with pipe fitting and plumbing installation is a plus.
• Able to pass pipe welding tests (GMAW, GTAW, SMAW).
• Basic math and measurement skills.

Responsibilities

• Welds using Tig welding at Fab Shop.
• Assist with layout of work projects.
• Follow safety standards (OSHA and TP Mechanical Contractors).
• Maintain equipment and ensure timely maintenance.
• Keep work area clean and clear of clutter.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsible for daily work at sites of TP Mechanical Contractors. Work includes Tig Welding and all types of pipefitting. Individual should be able to read and understand blueprints, communicate effectively with all other persons on the jobsite, including our sub-contractors, and represent TP Mechanical Contractors in a professional manner.

Responsibilities And Duties

• Responsible for Tig welding in Fab Shop.
• Assists with the layout of work projects.
• Follows all OSHA and TP Mechanical Contractors standards for safety.
• Keeps equipment in good working order and insures proper and timely maintenance is performed one equipment.
• Keeps work area clear of unnecessary clutter and performs routine clean-up as needed.
• All other duties as assigned.

Experience/Qualifications Requirements

• Tig welding experience.

Job Skills

• Ability to read blueprints
• Ability to use weld pipe positioner
• Knowledge of general plumbing and piping installation is a plus.
• Working knowledge of all hand and power tools.
• Ability to work within precise limits or standards of accuracy and productivity.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to pass a pipe test (GMAW, GTAW, SMAW).

Education

• High School or GED equivalent
• Trade School a plus

Physical Requirements

• Eyesight correctable to 20/50
• Able to perform shift work if needed
• Must be able to lift objects weighing up to 60 lbs.
