Job summary

Temp-Con, Inc. in Cincinnati, OH is seeking an experienced TIG welder to join our fab shop. You will weld using TIG processes, read blueprints, and assist with project layouts while complying with OSHA safety standards.

The role requires maintaining tools and equipment, keeping the work area clean, and performing other duties as assigned to support production schedules.

Qualifications

• High School or GED is required.
• Minimum of 5 years TIG welding experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and lay out projects.
• Knowledge of piping installation is a plus.
• Proficient with hand and power tools and measuring devices.
• Capable of passing a pipe test (GMAW, GTAW, SMAW).

Description

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Responsible for Tig welding in Fab Shop.
• Assists with the layout of work projects.
• Follows all OSHA and TP Mechanical Contractors standards for safety.
• Keeps equipment in good working order and insures proper and timely maintenance is performed one equipment.
• Keeps work area clear of unnecessary clutter and performs routine clean‑up as needed.
• All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience:

Experience/Qualifications Required:

• o Minimum 5 years Tig welding experience.

Job Skills:

• Ability to read blueprints
• Ability to use weld pipe positioner
• Knowledge of general plumbing and piping installation is a plus.
• Working knowledge of all hand and power tools.
• Ability to work within precise limits or standards of accuracy and productivity.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to pass a pipe test (GMAW, GTAW, SMAW).

Education:

• High School or GED equivalent

Physical Requirements:

• Eyesight correctable to 20/50
• Able to perform shift work if needed
• Must be able to lift objects weighing up to 60 lbs.

Special Requirements:

• Valid Drivers License
• OSHA 10
