Job summary

Twining Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Waterproofing Inspector / Building Envelope Inspector in Southern California. The role involves field inspections of waterproofing and building envelope systems, verification of installations, and documentation with detailed reports and photos.

Candidates should have at least 2 years in construction inspection or related fields, be able to read drawings, communicate effectively, and work outdoors on active sites. Certifications such as ICC/ACI preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in construction inspection, waterproofing, roofing, or building envelope work preferred.
• Ability to read construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work outdoors and access active construction sites.

Responsibilities

• Perform field inspections of waterproofing and building envelope systems, including below-grade waterproofing, deck coatings, roofing tie-ins and flashing, window/door flashing, WRB/AB, sealants and expansion joints.
• Verify installation in accordance with project plans, specifications, manufacturer requirements and standards.
• Document inspections with detailed daily reports and photos.
• Communicate deficiencies and required corrections to the contractor and project team.
• Witness testing such as flood testing, spray testing, adhesion/bond testing, and thickness verification.
• Coordinate with project staff regarding schedule and site needs.
• Maintain professional communication with clients and jobsite personnel.
• Follow company safety policies and procedures.
