Job summary

The City of Greeley is hiring for a Maintenance Technician or Water Systems Technician I–IV to join the Reservoirs team, reporting to the Reservoir Supervisor. You will perform operation, inspection, maintenance, repair, and installation of potable water storage and transmission infrastructure to ensure safe drinking water.

Responsibilities include inspecting reservoirs, maintaining valves and feed systems, monitoring water quality, and performing emergency repairs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid, unrestricted driver's license.
• Knowledge of utility construction and maintenance.
• Ability to operate hand and power tools and equipment.
• Willingness for rotating on-call shifts.
• Respond to after-hours emergencies within 45 minutes.

Responsibilities

• Perform monthly inspections of potable water storage tanks and reservoirs.
• Inspect and maintain reservoir components, valves, and related equipment.
• Operate and monitor the water transmission system for reliability.
• Maintain accurate work orders and documentation in CityWorks.
• Participate in an on-call rotation and respond to emergencies after hours.
• Coordinate with Water & Sewer staff and other City departments as needed.
• Work outdoors in varying weather and traffic conditions.
