Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Wastewater Operator certification (Grade 2) preferred.
• 1+ year of wastewater treatment facility operations experience.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in the field.

Responsibilities

• Take daily meter readings and log readings on record sheets.
• Visually observe operations and record observations in log books.
• Conduct field analysis of wastewater for DO, pH, and temperature; log values.
• Collect groundwater samples for external lab analysis.
• Measure and record depths to groundwater in monitoring wells.
• Maintain written records of groundwater monitoring activities.
• Perform washdown of equipment and processes.
• Collect wastewater process samples for external labs.
• Fill out Chain of Custody forms for outside lab work.
• Assist in minor repairs of leaks, pumps, and instruments.
• Prepare regulatory reports for agencies and clients.
• Prepare monthly self-monitoring and drought reports for SAFER, SSO, and AR.
• Develop/review sample schedules and perform construction observation for public works.
