Job summary

Aegis Worldwide seeks a Reliability Specialist – Vibration Analysis in Minooka, Illinois. This role blends hands-on fieldwork, vibration analysis, technical reporting, and customer support to improve equipment performance and reduce downtime.

You’ll collect and analyze data on rotating equipment, balance and align machines, and report findings to customers. Travel is frequent within the Illinois I-80 corridor, with some overnight stays.

Qualifications

• CAT I or CAT II vibration analysis certification required or equivalent
• 2–3 years of hands-on experience collecting and analyzing vibration data
• Strong knowledge of rotating machinery and electromechanical fundamentals
• Ability to meet driving record, drug screening, and safety requirements

Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze vibration data on pumps, motors, fans, gearboxes, blowers, compressors, and other rotating equipment.
• Diagnose developing equipment issues and provide repair recommendations, including urgency and priority.
• Perform rotating equipment balancing and laser alignment on complex machine trains.
• Establish vibration monitoring routes and maintain data collection databases.
• Prepare concise technical reports and communicate findings directly to customers.
• Independently coordinate customer visits, travel, data collection, analysis, and reporting.
• Provide technical guidance and training to reliability technicians.
• Collaborate with service and sales teams while following customer safety requirements.
