Job summary

The City of New Haven is seeking a Vendor Enforcement Officer to work in the field, traveling across the city to ensure compliance with municipal vending ordinances. You will build relationships with vendors, respond to concerns, conduct inspections, and issue citations when needed, helping maintain safe and fair public spaces.

• Prepare reports and maintain enforcement records.
• Educate vendors and public on licenses and laws.
• Coordinate with city departments on zoning and safety.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field-based inspections of vending operations.
• Investigate unpermitted or non-compliant vending operations.
• Issue citations and notices of violation.
