GEM Specialized Services is seeking an Operator for Vapor Control & Water Treatment to support mobile projects at refineries and industrial facilities. The role requires hands-on operation, safe setup, monitoring, and maintenance of specialized equipment with emphasis on environmental and safety compliance.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or GED required.
• TWIC credential required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Willingness and ability to travel to support project and customer needs.

Aufgaben

• Mobilize, set up, start up, shut down, and demobilize temporary treatment systems.
• Operate and monitor oxidizers, vapor units, scrubbers, pumps, and related equipment as trained.
• Connect hoses, inspect piping and valves, verify connections and valve positions.
• Monitor temperatures, pressures, flows, tank levels and instrument readings; report anomalies.
• Perform gas detection, sampling, testing, inspections, and routine maintenance.
• Follow procedures, permits, JSAs, and safety requirements of company and client.
• Report leaks/spills and use stop-work authority when needed.
• Maintain operating logs, inspections, time records and shift handoffs.
• Assist with loading/unloading, hose handling and housekeeping.
• Maintain professional communication with customers and crew for safe execution.
• Attend trainings and comply with safety and site requirements.
• Extensive travel across the U.S. may be required.
