Job summary

GEM Specialized Services is seeking a Chemical Cleaning Operator Non CDL to perform safe, efficient cleaning of industrial tanks and vessels at customer facilities. You will work with a field crew under the direction of a Supervisor to ensure compliance with procedures and safety standards.

A minimum of one year of relevant experience is required, and travel is required to support projects across the United States.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED or equivalent work experience.
TWIC card and valid Driver’s License required.
Experience in petrochemical/refinery industry preferred.

Responsibilities

Set up and connect pumps, hoses, tanks, manifolds, and temporary circulation systems.
Operate and monitor pumps and chemical cleaning equipment.
Assist with the preparation, mixing, and circulation of cleaning chemicals.
Monitor flow rates, pressures, temperatures, and chemical concentrations during cleaning operations.
Assist with the cleaning and decontamination of heat exchangers, towers, vessels, piping, and other industrial systems.
Follow chemical handling, PPE, spill prevention, and environmental procedures.
Participate in safety meetings and JHAs.
Maintain logs for equipment and chemicals.
