Job summary

MilliporeSigma in the United States is seeking a Field Validation Scientist to support the BioMonitoring sales group within the Advanced Solutions Business Unit. The role requires 50-70% travel to customer sites for IQ/OQ validation of microbiology testing equipment in pharma settings.

Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree in a life science or engineering field and at least 1 year of lab experience in pharma.

Qualifications

• IQ/OQ validation protocols must be developed and executed at customer sites.
• Knowledge of cGMP regulations and documentation requirements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with effective writing and verbal communication.
• Customer-focused, agile, flexible, proactive, and able to multitask.
• May lead small projects with limited risks and resources.

Responsibilities

• Execute IQ/OQ validation protocols for microbiology equipment at customer sites, including setup, testing, and reporting.
• Ensure systems operate per specifications and comply with cgmp requirements.
• Train customers on equipment operation.
• Provide PQ consulting to assess test-method suitability.
• Troubleshoot on-site equipment and assist maintenance services.
• Coordinate validations with customers and internal teams (technical service, sales, marketing).
• Collaborate with the sales team to support opportunities.
• Prepare weekly/monthly plans and manage workload and budgets.
• Assist in development of testing protocols.
