Job summary

Trax International in Yuma Proving Ground seeks an Ammunition Recovery Technician II to perform recovery of test items, UXO clearance, and handling of explosive materials under qualified supervision.

You will operate ordnance detection instruments, manage loading/unloading, and ensure safety with required certifications and security clearance. This full-time role requires US citizenship, ability to obtain/maintain security clearance, and willingness to work long shifts in challenging conditions.

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must graduate NAVSCOLEOD and have three (3) years of EOD, UXO, or Ammunition Recovery experience.
• Must possess a valid driver's license, with ability to obtain AZ Class A CDL with hazmat and air brake endorsements within 180 days of hire.
• Must obtain and maintain licenses for equipment operation (ATV, UTV, backhoe, loader, MHE, tractor, skid steer, excavator, APC, MRAP) within 180 days of hire.
• Must obtain and maintain current certifications (AA&E clearance, Ammunition Group II Certification, OSHA 10hr Construction Safety, 40hr HAZWPR with 8hr refresher, OB/OD Permit and related trainings).
• Must be able to speak, write, read, and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Perform recovery of test items and clearance of UXO in field environments.
• Operate ordnance detection instruments and related field equipment.
• Load, unload, transport, and store explosives and ammunition.
• Disassemble, modify, and recover explosive test items; install priming and firing systems.
• Disposal and demilitarization of explosive materials, UXO, and range residues as required.
