Job summary

TRAX International Corporation is seeking an Ammunition Recovery Technician II at Yuma Proving Ground, AZ. The role performs recovery, UXO clearance, and demilitarization tasks under qualified Ammunition Recovery personnel.

Requirements include NAVSCOLEOD, 3 years EOD/UXO experience, CDL with hazmat/air brake endorsements, and the ability to obtain multiple equipment/operator licenses within 180 days of hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• NAVSCOLEOD graduate with 3 years EOD/UXO/Ammunition Recovery experience.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain AZ Class A CDL with hazmat and air brake endorsements within 180 days of hire.
• Ability to obtain and maintain licenses for equipment (ATV, UTV, backhoe, loader, MHE, tractor, skid steer, excavator, APC, MRAP) within 180 days.
• Submit and maintain required certifications (AA&E clearance, Ammunition Group II, OSHA 10, 40hr HAZWPR with 8hr annual refresher, OB/OD permit and other local trainings).

Responsibilities

• Perform recovery of test items, UXO clearance, and site preparation under guidance of Ammunition Recovery personnel.
• Use ordnance detection instruments and visual inspections in field.
• Load, unload, transport, and store explosives and ammunition.
• Disassemble, modify, and recover explosive test items; install firing systems.
• Identify and certify fuse remnants and debris as safe to handle.
• Operate equipment for Ammo Recovery per SOPs and test requirements.
• Work flexible hours to complete assigned missions.
