Job summary

Davey Resource Group, Inc. is seeking Vegetation Management professionals to maintain safe and reliable utility infrastructure while protecting natural resources. You will conduct inspections, assess vegetation needs, and support environmental projects in the Washington, DC area.

Qualifications

• Passion for outdoor work in varying terrain and weather conditions.
• Ability to read and interpret GIS maps and spatial data.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to operate a 4x4 vehicle and travel within the service area.
• Knowledge of local tree species identification and growth patterns.

Responsibilities

• Conduct vegetation inspections and assessments along utility rights-of-way.
• Identify tree and brush management needs and recommend treatment plans.
• Support Integrated Vegetation Management (IVM) and environmental projects.
• Use GIS mapping and mobile technology to collect and document field data.
• Evaluate terrain, habitat, and environmental conditions in project areas.
• Collaborate with planners, project managers, and field crews to implement vegetation solutions.
• Help utilities maintain compliance, reliability, and public safety.
