Davey Resource Group, Inc. is seeking a Vegetation Management professional to maintain safe utility infrastructure and protect natural resources. You will inspect rights-of-way, assess vegetation needs, and contribute to environmental projects in field settings.

Ideal candidates will interpret GIS data, communicate effectively, and travel within the service area, bringing outdoor problem-solving skills to a national leader in natural resource services.

Qualifications

• Passion for working outdoors in varying terrain and weather conditions.
• Ability to read and interpret GIS maps and spatial data.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable using mobile technology.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to operate a 4x4 vehicle and travel within the service area.
• Knowledge of local tree species identification and growth patterns.

Responsibilities

• Conduct vegetation inspections and assessments along utility rights-of-way.
• Identify tree and brush management needs and recommend treatment plans.
• Support Integrated Vegetation Management (IVM) and environmental projects.

What You'll Do

As a Vegetation Management professional, you will play a key role in maintaining safe and reliable utility infrastructure while protecting natural resources.

Your responsibilities will include:

What We're Looking For

Required:

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Forestry, Urban Forestry, Horticulture, Environmental Science, or related field
• Utility vegetation management or right-of-way experience
• Professional certifications such as:
  • ISA Certified Arborist®
  • Registered Professional Forester (RPF)
  • Pesticide or herbicide applicator license (if required by state)

Leadership experience and a desire for career advancement are strongly encouraged.
