Job summary

Emerald Coast Utilities Authority is seeking an entry-level Utility Service Technician Trainee. You will learn to install and maintain water distribution and wastewater systems under close supervision.

A structured 24-month training program and on-the-job training are provided to develop essential skills. Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent, be at least 18 years old, and participate in required training classes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Able to complete 24-month structured training program in the Career Progression.”

Responsibilities

• Assist with operation and maintenance of ECUA's Water Distribution and Wastewater Collection Systems.
• Assist with installation and repair of water services, meters, and sewer components.
• Respond to customer complaints and communicate with customers.
• Operate and maintain equipment including back-hoe, trencher, service truck, pumps.
