Job summary

USIC is seeking a Locator for Scottsdale, AZ. You will locate underground utilities in assigned areas, document findings, and communicate findings clearly to excavators and homeowners.

The role requires bending, lifting, and working outdoors in varying weather, with a company-provided vehicle and training. The position emphasizes safety, overtime and on-call availability, and growth within a leading utility damage prevention firm.

Qualifications

• Able and willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Proficiency with technology
• Able to pass a drug screen (safety-sensitive position).
• Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record
• Able to work in confined spaces; walk, bend, and lift up to 75 lbs.
• Able to distinguish colors used to identify wiring and mark underground utilities.
• Able to read, understand, and reference locate tickets, maps and prints.
• Able to communicate clearly with colleagues, customers, contractors, and homeowners.

Responsibilities

• Correctly, safely, and efficiently locate underground utilities, including telecommunications, electric power, cable TV, gas, water, and sewer systems.
• Thoroughly search for underground utilities in a designated area, marking location and completing necessary documentation.
