Job summary

USIC Locating Services, LLC is seeking dedicated field locators to safely identify and mark underground utilities across designated areas. You will work independently in the field with company vehicles and gear, ensuring accurate documentation and site photography for each locate.

Requirements include outdoor work readiness, proficiency with field technology, and flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts. A valid driver’s license and ability to lift up to 75 lbs are essential.

Qualifications

• Able and willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Proficiency with technology and field equipment.
• Available to work overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts.
• Able to pass a drug screen (safety-sensitive position).
• Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
• Walk, bend and lift up to 75 lbs in field settings.
• Ability to distinguish colors used to identify wiring and locate utilities.
• Strong communication with colleagues, customers, contractors, and homeowners.

Responsibilities

• Correctly, safely, and efficiently locate underground utilities (telecom, electric, gas, water, sewer).
• Thoroughly search designated areas and mark locations, document findings, and photograph each locate.
• Adhere to daytime, full-time schedules with occasional overtime or on-call shifts as needed.
