Job summary

USIC Locating Services, LLC is hiring for field locator positions in Greenwood, MS. You will locate underground utilities and mark locations while working outdoors in various conditions. Training is provided, with overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts possible based on business needs.

Expect to work with a company-provided vehicle and equipment, use ticketing systems, and document findings with maps and prints. Strong safety focus and reliability are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Able and willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Proficiency with technology.
• Available to work overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed.
• Able to pass a drug screen (safety-sensitive position).
• Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.
• Able to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Able to read, understand, and reference locate tickets and maps.
• Able to distinguish colors used to identify wiring and mark underground utilities.
• Clear communication with colleagues, customers, contractors, and homeowners.

Responsibilities

• Correctly, safely, and efficiently locate underground utilities, including telecommunications, electric power, cable TV, gas, water, and sewer systems.
• Thoroughly search for underground utilities in a designated area, accurately marking the location, completing the necessary documentation, and photographing each locate.
