Job summary

USIC Locating Services, LLC seeks motivated outdoor workers for full-time locator positions. You will locate and mark underground utilities across multiple systems, communicating clearly with crews and homeowners while meeting safety standards.

The role requires outdoor work in varied weather, overtime as needed, and a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. We offer extensive paid training, a company vehicle and fuel card, and a full benefits package.

Qualifications

• Able and willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Previous outdoor experience is a plus.
• Proficiency with technology.
• Available to work overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed.
• Able to pass a drug screen (safety-sensitive position).
• Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.
• Able to work in a confined space; walk, bend, and lift up to 75 lbs.
• Able to distinguish between colors used to identify wiring and mark underground utilities.
• Able to read, understand, and reference locate tickets, as well as maps and prints.
• Able to communicate clearly with colleagues, customers, contractors, and homeowners.

Responsibilities

• Locate underground utilities safely and efficiently, including telecommunications, electric power, cable TV, gas, water, and sewer systems.
• Thoroughly search designated areas, accurately marking locations, completing documentation, and photographing each locate.
