Job summary

One Call Concepts Locating Services, Inc. is seeking skilled individuals to join our utility locating team. You will respond to marking requests for our utility customers, using a laptop to access tickets and records, and mark underground facilities accurately. The role requires independence and daily planning.

Qualifications

• Strong work ethic and ability to take direction.
• Background screening will be conducted prior to employment.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screening.
• Able to work outside in all weather.
• Familiarity with computers.
• Able to navigate a computer file system.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Able to participate in a 24 hour On-Call rotation.
• Demonstrate the ability to prioritize work and meet daily deadlines.
• Successfully complete our in-house training program.
• Able to walk on varying terrain, including roadside and construction areas.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally to access manholes and valve pits.

Responsibilities

• Respond to utility marking requests via MO State One Call System.
• Work hours are 7 AM – 4 PM, Monday through Friday; weekends/after hours as needed.
• Work independently throughout the day.
• Utility locating technicians respond to marking requests for utility customers.
• Interact daily with homeowners, excavators and utility personnel.
• Access marking requests via an internet-enabled laptop.
• Interpret records and mark the horizontal location of underground facilities.
• Document markings in the online ticket management system.
• Adhere to company policies and customer regulations.
