Job summary

ArborMetrics is seeking a Consulting Utility Forester to join our field team. You will perform vegetation management tasks along energy corridors, assess tree risks, classify work, and coordinate with landowners and agencies to obtain permissions and align with Client standards.

Ideal candidates have forestry education, GIS/Microsoft Office skills, and the ability to work independently outdoors in varied conditions while maintaining safety and quality. A valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in forestry, natural resources, or related discipline or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in forestry, arboriculture, horticulture or tree-related green industry preferred.
• Knowledge of tree identification; GIS and Microsoft Office proficiency; valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Organize records, maps, and paperwork for patrol circuits; maintain accurate documentation.
• Safely patrol energy corridors, identify vegetation for pruning, removal, or protection per Client standards.
• Classify prescribed work based on field conditions and tree health; apply herbicide as needed.
• Conduct Tree Risk Assessments and analyze growth rates.
• Engage landowners and agencies; obtain permissions; communicate work plans clearly.
