Job summary

ArborMetrics (AMS) is seeking a Contract Forester/Utility Forester for field vegetation management on energy corridors. You will perform patrols, assess vegetation, and determine pruning, removal, or protection actions per Client standards.

Ideal candidates have practical utility vegetation experience, a forestry-related degree or commensurate work history, and strong communication skills. The role emphasizes safety, independent work, and field mobility.

Qualifications

• Practical experience in electric utility vegetation management in the field.
• Degree in forestry/natural resources or related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
• Knowledge of tree identification and GIS/Microsoft Office/phone tech is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Organize records, maps, and paperwork for patrol circuits and maintain documentation.
• Safely patrol energy corridors, identify vegetation for pruning/removal/protection per Client standards.
• Classify work, conduct Tree Risk Assessments, and apply ANSI line clearance standards.
