Job summary

M.C. Dean is hiring for a Power Electronics Technician to inspect, certify, and maintain UPS systems and related power electronics at critical facilities. This role requires extensive field service, on-site support, and travel, with a focus on reliability and safety.

You will work under regional supervision, coordinating with team leads, handling documentation, and applying quality standards while staying current with training and certifications.

Qualifications

• AA/BS in Electrical and/or Electronics from an accredited college or university (or equivalent field/military training).
• Minimum of seven+ years OEM experience in power electronics.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work at heights.
• Strong knowledge of NEC, maintenance practices, and quality control procedures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and certify power electronics and key components per standards.
• Perform preventive maintenance and emergency service calls.
• Coordinate on-site subcontractors and maintain equipment.
• Prepare reports and maintain technical documentation.
• Provide on-site technical support and customer liaison.
• Travel 24/7 on-call with possible overnight travel.
